OTHERKIN Summer Playwrights Festival (2024)
Otherkin was orginally developed at The Road Theatre's Summer Playwright's Festival in 2024. It was selected from over 900 submissions and performed along side 16 other plays during a 10 day period. Only two plays from that festival were selected for their main stage season the following year...Otherkin was one of them.
Synopsis: 14 year old Olive, who identifies as part of the subculture Otherkin, is compelled by strange forces to help prepare for humanity’s end. Olive and her family are thrust into a raucous ride of epic proportions, confronting their pasts, perilous futures and the possibility of a destiny far greater than themselves.
